How Family and Technology Came Together

KLOwen's story starts with family. In 2011, Dr. Brandon Owen had to face the tragic loss of his son, Keller Logan Owen. Following this event, KLOwen was created with a simple yet powerful goal: to provide orthodontists with a tool that would allow them to achieve remarkable results with unparalleled efficiency while also honoring Keller's legacy.

Dr. Owen is a board-certified orthodontist with over 18 years of experience building and running a successful practice. He is also a self-diagnosed technology enthusiast. Dr. Owen recognized the importance of combining customized orthodontic appliances with digital treatment early on. However, he found that other digital custom offerings had significant drawbacks despite some great attributes. Instead of settling for the existing options, Dr. Owen merged the two. This led to the creation of KLOwen, a company at the intersection of experience and technology.

Executive Team

KLOwen has brought together an elite combination of innovators, scientists, production specialists, and pros of the orthodontic industry who share a unified passion for helping orthodontists deliver exceptional results efficiently. Orthodontists are now, and will always be, the key ingredient in providing excellent patient experience. Our job is to equip our specialists with the necessary tools to remain competitive without sacrificing quality.

Brandon Owen, DDS, MS, is the President and Founder of KLOwen Orthodontics, a legacy company named and dedicated to his son, Keller Logan. He is an ortho-inventor with over 15 years of hands-on practice experience. Dr. Owen earned the first-ever AAO OrthoInnovator Award in 2019 for his invention of the KLOwen Custom Digital System, holds numerous orthodontic patents, and has served as a consultant and advisor for various digital orthodontic systems. Dr. Owen received a BS in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies from Montana State University-Bozeman, a DDS in Dentistry, and an MS in Orthodontics/Orthodontology from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He resides in Lakeway, Texas, with his wife and two children.
